Easy Vegan Buffalo Chicken Dip (Jackfruit)

There are a few things people say they would miss when they cut out meat, one of them being chick-fil-a the other being buffalo chicken dip. Having spend almost half my life not eating meat I had actually never tried buffalo chicken dip, but my boyfriend and every other person I know is obsessed with it. Maybe it’s a Florida thing? Anywho, everyone who has tasted my recipe has complimented it without even knowing it was meat and dairy free! What a life goal.

RECIPE
1 can of Jackfruit
1/2 cup of follow your heart cheddar
4oz go veggie cream cheese
1/4 cup of ranch
1/4 buffalo sauce (or as much as you life)
YOUR CHOICE OF EDIBLE SPOONS (i.e celery, bread, chips)

STEPS
1) Get some jackfruit. We used the pre cut kind in the can.

They look a little something like this

2) Pull, tear and squish the pieces. TIP: If it shreds easily, keep it, if it doesn’t throw it away.
 The first time I had jackfruit it actually freaked me out how much it looked like chicken 😯 

3) Put a small amount of hot sauce of your choice, just enough to get them lightly covered.
4) Heat pan and place jackfruit in, do about 4 minutes on each side or until some pieces are lightly brown.
5) Turn heat down to low and slowly stir in, cream cheese, ranch and cheddar cheese into the pan with the jackfruit.
 
6) Top with ranch, shredded cheese and enjoy with celery, bread, chips or crackers!
